Dropbox¶
Connect Dropbox to pull in the files your team already stores there—proposals, PDFs, notes, and more—without moving them to a new system first.
What gets synced¶
Mention walks your Dropbox folders and lists files it can read. Folders themselves are not separate “documents”; they organize how file paths appear in Mention (mirroring your Dropbox layout).
File type is inferred from the file name (for example, .pdf, .docx), and content is downloaded for analysis when you activate a file.
How to connect¶
- Add Dropbox as a source in Mention.
- Sign in to Dropbox and approve read access to file metadata and content (Mention needs both to list and import files).
- After connecting, browse the discovered files and activate the ones Mention should learn from.
Walkthrough: Connecting sources.
Things to know¶
- Only files your connected account can read in Dropbox will be available.
- Very large folder trees may take time to appear in full; use search and filters in Mention once indexing has caught up.
- If you reorganize folders in Dropbox, paths in Mention will reflect the new structure after the next sync.
Sync behavior¶
Files are refreshed on a daily schedule. Run a manual refresh if you need new uploads or renames to show up immediately.
Activation limit¶
You can activate up to 2,000 Dropbox files per Dropbox integration.
