Mobile Overview¶
Mention has a native mobile app for iOS and Android, built so members can keep up with their learning when they are not at a desk and so admins can keep teaching Mention from anywhere. The mobile app uses the same account and the same content as the web app — anything you do on one shows up on the other.
Who the mobile app is for¶
The mobile app is most useful for:
- Members who want to read Concept articles, work through SOPs, and take knowledge checks from a phone.
- Admins who want to ask Mention questions and accept or correct answers between meetings — the same Steering workflow available on web.
Source connection and other heavy admin work continues to live on the web app, as does Audience curation — the glossary, playbook, questions, and adoption surfaces Audience owners manage. Those flows are not in mobile.
Sign in with the same email and password you use on the web, or with Continue with Google — and, on iPhone, Continue with Apple. Your organization role (admin or member) and your per-Audience role (owner or learner) carry over from the web. If you don't belong to an organization yet — or you aren't assigned to any Audience — the app points you to the web app to get set up, since team setup, source connection, and audience curation live there.
If you belong to more than one organization, tap the avatar button in the top-right corner to open the profile menu, where you can switch the active organization or sign out. Switching organizations reloads the app with that organization's content and your role there. Creating a new organization still happens on the web.
What is in the app¶
Three surfaces are available:
- Learn — the member learning experience: glossary, playbook, articles, SOPs, knowledge checks, and grounded Q&A. Available to anyone assigned to at least one Audience. See Member Learning on Mobile.
- Steering — admin-only. Ask Mention a question and accept or correct the answer. The same workflow exposed on web at the Knowledge view. See Steering for the full description.
- Conflicts — admin-only. Resolve flagged contradictions in your knowledge base. The tab shows a badge with the number of pending contradictions.
- Audience switcher — in the Learn header (when you belong to more than one Audience), lets you jump between the Audiences you belong to. Each Audience shows a badge with your role in it (owner or learner) and has independent content and progress.
Admins get a bottom tab bar with Learn, Steering, and Conflicts. Members only see the Learn experience — managing an Audience you own happens on the web.
There are no push notifications — the app doesn't notify you outside of it.
How it relates to web¶
| Action | Web | Mobile |
|---|---|---|
| Read Articles, work through SOPs, take knowledge checks | ✓ | ✓ |
| Ask grounded Q&A while learning | ✓ | ✓ |
| Steering (ask, correct, resolve contradictions) | ✓ (Knowledge view) | ✓ (Steering + Conflicts) |
| Connect sources, curate Glossary/Playbook, manage Audiences | ✓ | — |
| Manage billing | ✓ | — |
Anything you do on mobile syncs back to web in real time — corrections submitted on mobile show up on web immediately, and progress on a knowledge check completed on mobile counts toward your member progress on web.
