Bring your Notion pages into Mention so answers and articles reflect how your team actually documents work.

What gets synced

Mention discovers Notion pages in the workspace you connect. Each page is imported from its top-level blocks — headings, paragraphs, lists, and other blocks that sit directly on the page. Content nested inside other blocks (toggles, columns, callouts, nested list items, synced blocks) is not captured, so keep the material you want Mention to learn from at the page's top level.

Databases and other non-page objects are not listed as separate items to import; focus is on pages you can open and read in Notion.

How to connect

  1. In Mention, start adding Notion as a source (your admin experience may label this as connecting an integration or source).
  2. When prompted, sign in to Notion and approve access for the workspace you want to use.
  3. After the connection succeeds, browse or search the listed pages and choose what to activate.

Things to know

  • You need permission to see a page in Notion for it to be available through the connection.
  • If your team uses a last-edited cutoff or similar filter in Mention, older pages may be hidden from the list—check your source settings if something you expect is missing.
  • Paths you see in Mention reflect how pages are nested under parent pages in Notion.
  • Access rules apply per first two levels of a page's path: everything nested under the same second-level page is one scope you can restrict to chosen audiences. See Source access.

Sync behavior

Notion notifies Mention when a page changes, so edits are picked up within minutes rather than waiting for a scheduled sync. Mention listens for pages being created, edited, re-titled, moved, deleted, and restored, and re-reads the page each time. Notion batches these notifications, so a burst of edits arrives as one update a short time after you stop typing.

A daily sync still runs behind that as a safety net: it catches anything a missed notification would have lost, and it is what removes a page that was unshared from the connected integration, since Notion sends no notification for that. You can also refresh manually when you need a page to reflect the latest edits immediately.

Event notifications need a one-time setup by Mention per Notion app, so if your workspace was connected before that was in place, the daily sync covers you until it is.

Activation limit

You can activate up to 2,000 Notion pages per Notion integration.
