Knowledge Checks

This page explains how knowledge checks work in Mention and how they contribute to your progress.

What are knowledge checks?

Knowledge checks are short multiple-choice quizzes embedded in your learning content. They verify that you understood the material, not just that you read it. Every article section and every SOP task includes one.

In articles

Each section of a concept article ends with a knowledge check.

  1. Read the section content.
  2. At the end, the quiz presents questions one at a time. Pick the right answer for each — you'll see an explanation after each question.
  3. At the end you get a score. You must answer every question correctly to pass the section.
  4. If you don't pass, you can retake the quiz.

The result is recorded immediately.

In SOPs

Each task in an SOP includes a knowledge check — the same kind of multiple-choice quiz.

  1. Read the task content.
  2. Take the quiz for that task.

For purely informational tasks that don't require an assessment, you can mark the task as read instead. This still counts toward your completion progress.

How checks affect progress

Content type What counts as complete
Concept article section Knowledge check passed (all questions correct)
SOP task Knowledge check passed, or task marked as read

A concept is fully passed when every article section is complete. A process is fully passed when every SOP task is complete.

Your completion shows up on your learning home — a progress ring on each process in the Playbook rail, and mastered-concept highlighting in the Glossary graph. Your admin can also see your progress.
